Built for missions that start cold and go long, the Cascade Merino Hoodie blends comfort and function in a simple, do-it-all layer. It’s 19.5-micron, 100% merino-naturally breathable, stink-resistant, and easy on skin, with an integrated face gaiter you can pull up when the weather turns, and thumb holes to lock sleeves in place when you’re on the move.

We have designed and tested the hoodie during hunts, hikes and even during the Revenant Ultra race.

Note: Sizing is on the larger side, as this is a midlayer. For reference, models are wearing a medium and are 180cm tall and weigh 75 kg.

What does 200 GSM mean?

GSM (grams per square metre) is simply fabric weight. Higher GSM = denser, warmer fabric. 200 GSM sits in the sweet spot for all-season use: warm enough for cold starts, breathable enough to keep moving when the day heats up.

Care

Machine wash cold, gentle cycle. Avoid fabric softeners. Lay flat to dry. Do not bleach. Wash inside-out to preserve softness and shape.

Just a side note…

We’re always straight with our legends: merino is magic for comfort and odor control, but it can snag and tear easier than some synthetics if you’re smashing through the thickest South Island monkey scrub. Thrash the cr*ap out of this hoodie-just keep that in mind.
